Thank you for such a lot of information regarding this walk. I have been considering it for a while and reading through your journal gave me the courage to commit to it. I will be doing the walk for myself but hopefully will raise some funding for Cancer Research (for others they have dedicated people in your area who can help you with guidance and support)

I am relishing the challenge and only hope to be able to crawl into John O'Groats sometime next year and collapse in a nice comfortable bed Shocked

I will be taking my soon to be 8 year old daughter on some of the easier trails as it wil be the school holidays so hopefully I will get help from local people to move our gear from campsite to campsite (or even offer a bed for the night Very Happy )

Making a journal was an excellent plan and I certainly intend to do the same. I also like the idea of the rest days and sensible pace!!

Once again thank you for the wonderful information!!

Lou

Hi Lou.

Thanks very much - glad you like the site! Smile

Walking across Britain is (as you have no doubt gathered) a great thing to do, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It isn't always plain sailing - it wouldn't be a challenge if it was - but it's definitely worth the effort.

If you've got any questions that you can't find answered here, feel free to drop a note into my Guestbook, and I'll do my best to answer.

Enjoy the planning!

Best wishes,

Mark
